When is Outlaws Season 3 Releasing? All You Need to Know
Fans have eagerly awaited 3rd season of Stephen Merchant’s dramedy, The Outlaws, since Season 2 ended. The Outlaws Overview
The Outlaws is a crime thriller comedy TV show available on BBC One and iPlayer in the UK, as well as Amazon Prime Video in some other countries. The show was created by Elgin James and Stephen Merchant and directed by Merchant and John Butler. While filming the first season, production was halted in March 2020 due to the pandemic. However, in January 2021, confirmation was announced for the second season, and filming for both seasons resumed in February of the same year.
The story is about seven strangers with diverse backgrounds who are compelled to work together to fulfill a Community Payback sentence in Bristol. However, their situation takes a turn, but not necessarily positive, when they stumble upon a bag full of money. Unfortunately, they are oblivious that the lawful owners of the money are incredibly dangerous.

The Outlaws Season 3 Release Date Confirmation
The release date for season 3 of The Outlaws is still pending a final decision from BBC. COVID-19 delayed the show’s filming and only began in February 2021 in Bristol and at The Bottle Yard Studios in Whitchurch. The series was commissioned by BBC Comedy and BBC One, and is a collaboration between BBC One and Amazon Studios. Big Talk produced the show with Stephen Merchant’s Four Eyes.
Stephen Merchant and Elgin James created the TV series, with Stephen Merchant and John Butler directing it. Four Eyes’ Stephen Merchant and Big Talk’s Luke Alkin, Kenton Allen, and Matthew Justice are the executive producers. Nickie Sault is the producer, and Kate Daughton is the Commissioning Editor for the BBC. The show was initially titled The Offenders but was renamed with the new title confirmed in September 2021. The BBC announced in March 2023 that a third series of the show is currently in production.
The Outlaws Season 3 Cast Members
According to Merchant, he had planned on moving The Outlaws to a different town and introducing a new group of characters after two seasons. He stated, “I always imagined that we’d do two series, and you could refresh it with a new set of offenders in another town.”
If The Outlaws is given the green light to return, the actor hopes that the entire cast, including Walken, Merchant, Tomlinson, Darren Boyd, Dolly Wells, Rhianne Barreto, Gamba Cole, and Clare Perkins, will be on board. This means that the show’s fans will have the chance to see all their favorite characters again, including John Halloran, who is suing his father and former boss for unfair dismissal, and Frank’s daughter Margaret.
